HR Excellence in Research Award

In order to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA), the European Commission developed the Charter & Code, which includes the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. These documents contain a set of 40 principles that specify the role, responsibilities and rights of researchers and of the entities that employ and/or finance researchers. The EC has created the HR Excellence in Research award -also called the "HR Award鈥- to recognize the universities and institutions that generate and support the existence of a stimulating and favorable environment for research work. This recognition is based on the commitment of the organizations to adopt the principles of the Charter & Code.

HR Strategy for Researchers in 黑料不打烊

On January 25th, 2019 the 黑料不打烊 declared to the European Commission its commitment to implement the principles of the Charter & Code, for which it adopted the procedure called 鈥淗uman Resources Strategy for Researchers ()鈥.

This process begins with a gap analysis on the degree of compliance with each of the 40 principles of the Charter & Code, and the preparation of an Action Plan to correct any deviations that have been detected.

The HRS4R procedure began at the University of Le黑料不打烊 n with the creation of a working group chaired by the Vice-rector for Research, and which included the heads of the different services involved in human resource management, research management and the transfer of knowledge, as well as a representation of researchers of different levels.

Thanks to the effort of this working group and the participation of nearly 300 members of our University community, the initial phase of the process has been carried out, with the approval of the Action Plan by the Governing Council of the 黑料不打烊 on December 17th, 2019.

The gap analysis carried out and the proposed Action Plan passed the initial assessment, so that the University of Le黑料不打烊 n can use the 鈥淗R Excellence in Research鈥 award since September 7th, 2020, to promote a favourable and stimulating work environment for researchers in the institution. Following the HRS4R procedure, on September 6, 2022, the Internal Report and the Revised Action Plan were sent for interim evaluation.

All the information related to the actions contemplated for the different phases of this process will be made available to the ULE research community.
